Common Questions About Our Acting Academy
What age groups do you cater to at the Ibiza Young Actor’s Academy?
We offer acting classes for children aged 11-18 ensuring age-appropriate training and development and entry into the industry.
What types of acting classes are available for kids?
Our academy provides one, year long acting course for an ensemble of 20 students. They are trained in stage and screen performance, improvisation, and character development tailored specifically for young actors.
Are there any prerequisites for enrolling in your acting programs?
No previous acting experience is required. Our courses are designed to accommodate beginners and more experienced young actors alike.
When do classes typically take place at the academy?
Classes are held on weekends to accommodate school schedules, offering flexibility for parents and students. Classes will run approximately 10am to 5pm Saturdays and some Sundays. Closer to Graduation Showcase, there will be some evening rehearsal requirements, plus a midweek evening showcase to Industry Professionals.
What language do you teach in?
We teach in English and ask your child has a good grasp of the English language. However, our teachers are multilingual and so any help or clarification in class can be given in Spanish if needs be. Also, if your child wishes to enter the industry in a non-English speaking territory, they are welcome to perform in their native tongue at the Graduation Showcase as we do invite professionals from across Europe.
Will there be any performances for family and friends?
Yes indeed! The Graduation showcase will be for industry professionals and family & friends alike, although tickets for friends may be limited to accommodate professional attendees. There will be also be smaller performances of 'work in progress' for family to attend, in order for us to get the students used to public performances.
